I have been practicing fire arts for over 4 years! My skills include (Hoop 4 years), Poi (5 years), Staff (3 years), Contact Fire (4years), and Fire Eating (4 years). Hooping is my passion, I love the feeling of being inside a hoop. I am excited to be teaching at Midwest Hoop Fest. I will also have quality fire tools for sale at MHF. I have been building fire tools for 4 years including hoops, poi, staff and more.
Groups I have worked with are Highjinks (Comm fest '06-07), The Ohio Burn Unit '07-09, Forged by fire '09-present.

I have been a belly dance instructor/performer for 8 years performing sword, candle, zills and balancing various things on my head. My mother said that I danced before I could walk and spent most of my adolescence in many different styles from street to formal dance. I’ve been a closet hooper for quite sometime and started a dedicated hoop practice in March of 2009 after a friend needed a goGo dancer for her burlesque show. I currently work at Equivita Fitness and have a studio in Clintonville, Ohio.
I have been Hooping since March 2007 and I have been teaching in the Indianapolis area since February 2008. I primarily use The Hoop Path vocabulary in my teachings. I have taken classes/workshops with Jonathan Baxter, Ann Humphreys, Beth (Lavinder) Williams and Bonnie MacDougall of the Carrboro HP Tribe. I have also benefited greatly within the teachings of Brecken Rivara, Khan Wong, Carolyn (Caroleena) Mabry and Rebecca Hellemans. My beginner classes smell a great deal like Hoop Path but once a hooper gets to a certain skill set, the teachings become more uniquely my own. I currently have five evening classes to offer in the Indianapolis area and daytime classes coming this Fall. I also offer workshops, individuals and party packages for all ages.
I am also the founder of IndyHoopers in Indianapolis. Originally IndyHoopers was just a Myspace place. We offered the Five Lone Hoopers of Indiana at that time a forum to chat and plan to meet. IndyHoopers has evolved and changed and continues to do so. This year IndyHoopers is bringing The HoopPath with Baxter to Indianapolis with a few other national known companies in the works.
